In addition to "hard to get" tartan material, we have sourced some fun items, all at non-tourist price levels.
Please contact us if there is something that you feel we have missed. The prices listed below include VAT. Important - The plan is for orders to be available for collection from the Ramsay Clan tent during the Clan Gathering, thus avoiding extra postage charges. If you wish to take advantage of this we need to finalise orders as soon as possible. We expect to be able to accept credit card pre-payments by telephone and credit card payments at the tent (not Amex). Products for which there is insufficient demand will not be stocked. £23.00 | Metre | Many clan members will know how difficult it can be to find a good shade of red for the Ramsay tartan. To celebrate the Gathering 2009 we have chosen a traditional red which is more than 200 years old and is being specially woven in a medium weight. It comes from the ancient pattern book of Wilsons of Bannockburn and was in use in the 1780's. Typical retail prices are £40 to £50 per metre, so this price represents exceptional value at about 50% off shop prices. As a rough guide, 3.65 metres (4 yards) are needed for kilts and 2.0 to 2.5 metres (2.2 to 2.75 yards) for trews/trousers. |
