I am delighted to be able to welcome members of the Ramsay clan and their families to Holyrood, Edinburgh, for the weekend of 25th and 26th July 2009. Our clan gathering is part of The Gathering 2009, during Scotland's Homecoming Year, and is a once in a lifetime opportunity for clan members to get together. Members from as far afield as Scandinavia, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have indicated that they will be coming. We have organised a Ramsay Clan tent (number 115) as our meeting point on the field. It will be manned mainly by Scottish domiciled members, but help from all branches would be welcome and, in particular, any exhibits or objects of interest, including literature, which members may like to show. We will have Ramsay Tartan for sale at very advantageous prices and other clan items will be available subject to demand. Details are available elsewhere on this website. I am holding a social gathering off the field for members and their families at Dalhousie Castle on the Sunday evening. Coach transport from Holyrood to Dalhousie has been arranged, as well as the hire of the Sir Alexander Room and catering. The Scottish domiciled members look forward to as many as possible joining us in Edinburgh and I look forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces as well as a large number of new ones.
